My contribution
I led a Jest-to-Vitest migration pilot across 15 packages within a monorepo of more than 4,000 packages. The pilot delivered approximately 4x faster test execution while checking compatibility with existing workflows. The pilot scope is distinct from the total size of the monorepo.
The engineering concern
Changing a test runner is a workflow migration, not just a dependency swap. Compatibility needs to be considered before a rollout becomes wider.
